The Chinese brand Zeekr has brought the 8X hybrid to market, and it immediately drew attention not only because of its specifications, but also due to strong demand. Within the first 30 minutes after sales began, more than 10,000 orders were placed, and around 95% of them were for the highest trims.
The main reason for the hype is its technical specifications. The top trim is equipped with a three-motor powertrain producing 1,030 kW, which is equivalent to 1,381 HP. Acceleration from 0–100 km/h takes only 2.96 seconds – a level typical of supercars, not family SUVs.
At the same time, the Zeekr 8X is not a fully electric vehicle, but a plug-in hybrid. It combines a 2.0 L turbocharged engine with an electric system based on a 900 V architecture. The battery, with a capacity of up to 70 kWh, provides up to 410 km of electric range and a total range of up to 1,400 km.
