The Chinese automotive giant Geely officially introduced a major update for its electric hatchback, the Geely Geome Xingyuan, which is marketed as the EX2 in overseas markets. In the domestic market, the manufacturer offers six different trims with extremely aggressive promotional pricing: from 61,800 yuan (around 9,100 USD) for the base version up to 91,800 yuan (around 13,500 USD) for the top trim. Without discounts, the official retail price ranges from 64,800 to 95,800 yuan. The main technical achievement of the update is a significantly increased range, which now reaches 410 km and 480 km depending on the trim level. Previously, the entry-level version offered a range of 310 km.
The exterior of the EV is designed in the brand’s traditional styling language, unofficially referred to as the “smiling face” concept. The front end stands out with original LED headlights featuring daytime running lights shaped like bird feathers. At the rear, matching taillights are installed, consisting of 78 separate LED elements. Additionally, the car now comes with 16-inch wheels featuring a leaf-inspired design. In terms of dimensions, the hatchback remains a compact urban vehicle: it measures 4,135 mm in length, 1,805 mm in width and 1,570 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2,650 mm. Buyers can choose from eight different exterior colors.
The interior has been updated with new trim colors, including gray and soft white. The digital ecosystem is powered by the Galaxy Flyme Auto 2.0 multimedia platform. Its hardware is based on the 7-nanometer Longying No. 1 automotive processor, featuring an eight-core CPU, 16 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in storage. In front of the driver is a modest 8.8-inch instrument cluster, while the center console houses a large 14.6-inch high-definition touchscreen display. The system supports intelligent voice control with dual-zone recognition.
