Tesla has begun sales of a more affordable version of the Model 3 in the EU. The new variant is intended to support the brand’s EV demand amid growing competition and a general market slowdown. Sales have started in several EU countries, including Germany, where the starting price is around €38,000.
Compared with previous versions of the Model 3, the new modification features a simplified trim. The car comes with fewer standard options and a lower-capacity battery, which slightly reduces driving range. Despite these changes, Tesla’s core technologies remain intact – the vehicle supports official software updates and over-the-air (OTA) updates.
The company expects that the lower price will attract new customers and strengthen Tesla’s position in the European EV market.
