The BMW iX3 won the “World Car of the Year 2026” competition. Moreover, this is not only a success for a particular model, but also a strategic shift by the company toward electric technologies. The car is built on the Neue Klasse platform, which will serve as the basis for the brand’s future EVs.
The iX3 itself took the lead thanks to its technical characteristics. The electric motor produces around 300–350 HP in the base trim, and in more advanced versions up to 400 HP. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in around 6 seconds, which corresponds to the level of a sporty crossover.
One of the key advantages is range. Depending on the version, it reaches 700–800 km. The battery has a capacity of around 100 kWh, and fast-charging support of up to 270–300 kW allows it to recharge in 25–30 minutes.
