Volkswagen continues to develop its lineup of large crossovers and is preparing a new generation of the Atlas, which is expected to strengthen the brand’s position in the family SUV segment.
The model remains a key product for the company in North America and other markets where demand for large crossovers continues to grow steadily.
According to preliminary information, the new Atlas will receive a drastically reworked design. The front end is expected to look more massive and rugged, featuring a larger grille, oversized air intakes, slim LED headlights, and a more pronounced hood line that gives the vehicle a stronger off-road character. A new plastic protective body kit is also expected around the lower body, emphasizing a utilitarian style while providing additional protection during light off-road use.
In terms of dimensions, the new generation will remain close to the current model. The wheelbase is expected to stay at 2,980 mm, ensuring a spacious interior with three rows of seats and a large trunk. This is crucial for competing with key rivals in the family SUV segment, where interior space and practicality play a decisive role for buyers.
