The Japanese division of Honda has presented the renewed ZR-V crossover, which has received noticeable updates in technology, powertrain and exterior design.
The key change is the full transition to hybrid powertrains: gasoline-only versions without electrification have been discontinued. This decision highlights both Honda’s strategy and the Japanese market’s broader focus on reducing fuel consumption and lowering emissions.
The compact crossover is now equipped with a modern hybrid system featuring automatic engine shut-off during braking, optimized primarily for urban driving while remaining efficient on highways. The combined output of the hybrid system reaches 184 horsepower.
Alongside the standard version, Honda has introduced a new “off-road” modification aimed at light off-road use and challenging road conditions. This variant stands out with a more aggressive exterior design, increased ground clearance and protective body cladding, making the ZR-V better suited for rougher terrain.
