Nio is preparing a new flagship model – the large ES9 SUV. This model is expected to become the biggest in the brand’s lineup and at the same time showcase the level of technology the company is focusing on in the premium segment.
In terms of size, the ES9 significantly surpasses most competitors. Its length is 5.3 meters, and the wheelbase is 3,250 mm. In fact, it is a full-size SUV comparable to large luxury SUVs and surpasses some of them.
The model is designed for six or seven passengers, emphasizing both family use and business clients. The interior features a central display, a head-up display, and Nio’s traditional voice assistant.
Technically, the ES9 also matches its flagship status. The car is equipped with two electric motors with a total output of 700 HP.
AWD is included as standard, and the maximum speed is 220 km/h. The battery, with a capacity of around 100 kWh, provides a range of up to 600 km on the CLTC cycle.
At the same time, the model supports the brand’s signature battery swap technology, which is one of Nio’s key features.
Special attention is given to driver assistance systems. The car will be equipped with several LiDAR sensors and a range of other sensors, providing a high level of autonomy.
It is also expected to feature modern solutions, including adaptive suspension and a high-voltage architecture.
The ES9 premiere is planned for 2026, and deliveries will begin soon after the official debut.
As a result, the Nio ES9 is not just a typical EV SUV, but a showcase of the company’s capabilities in the large, technology-focused vehicle segment. It should strengthen the brand’s position in the upper price range and compete with both Chinese and international luxury models.
