Great Wall Motor showed the renewed Haval Dargo Plus PHEV for the Chinese market. The main change is a new hybrid system. Now the car can drive up to 200 km purely on electric power on the CLTC cycle. For a hybrid crossover, this is a very significant result.
The previous version could cover only 105 kilometers without using the gasoline engine, so the upgrade is absolutely no joke.
The car is equipped with a 33.7 kWh battery. Under the hood is a 1.5L turbo engine that produces 115 kW and 243 Nm of torque. It works together with two electric motors and a two-speed DHT transmission. The combined power of the powertrain is 320 kW.
Acceleration from 0–100 km/h takes 5.8 seconds. For a large SUV with an off-road character, this is a magnificent result.
