Geely introduces the Galaxy Starshine 7 with 312 kW and 220 km of range to the market

The Chinese company Geely officially started sales of the new Galaxy Starshine 7 sedan. The newcomer immediately attracted market attention thanks to its combination of high power, long range and relatively low cost.

The car received a hybrid powertrain with a total output of 312 kW. At the same time, electric range reaches 220 km, which is considered one of the best results for plug-in hybrids in the mass segment.

Pricing for the base version starts at 98,800 yuan, which is around 14,500 USD at the current exchange rate. The highest trim is priced at 129,800 yuan, or around 19,100 USD.

The Galaxy Starshine 7 became part of the new Geely Galaxy lineup, which the manufacturer positions as a separate direction for high-tech hybrids and EVs. The company is actively developing this brand amid growing demand for economical cars capable of long trips without frequent recharging.

The model received a modern design with narrow headlights, a closed front end and aerodynamic elements. The interior features a huge central multimedia screen, a digital dashboard and an expanded set of electronic assistance systems.

Geely also places special emphasis on the new Thor AI Hybrid 2.0 system. The manufacturer claims that the powertrain provides high fuel efficiency and smooth operation in different driving modes.

According to the company, the AWD version of the car can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in around 5 seconds. These specifications allow the model to compete with more expensive sedans and crossovers.

Experts note that Chinese manufacturers continue to rapidly reduce the gap with global brands. Just a few years ago, specifications like these were available only in the premium segment. Now, however, powerful hybrids are becoming mass-market cars.

The long all-electric range is considered one of the main advantages of the Galaxy Starshine 7. For many owners, it is enough to use the car as a full EV in the city while simultaneously avoiding dependence on charging infrastructure during long trips.

Analysts also pay attention to Geely’s pricing policy. The company offers figures comparable to those of more expensive European and American automakers, but at a more affordable price point. This is becoming one of the key factors behind the success of Chinese brands both domestically and in export markets.
