Denza, a premium brand developed with the participation of BYD, continues expanding its presence in global markets. One of the brand’s key models is the Denza D9 – a large electric minivan designed with a strong focus on comfort and interior space.
The Denza D9 belongs to the full-size minivan segment. It measures 5,250 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and has a wheelbase of 3,110 mm. These dimensions allow the vehicle to accommodate seven passengers while maintaining a high level of comfort, even on long journeys.
The electric version of the minivan is equipped with a powertrain producing up to 374 horsepower. Depending on the configuration, it uses a 103 kWh battery, providing an estimated range of 600–620 km under the CLTC cycle. The vehicle also supports fast charging, allowing the battery to recharge from 30% to 80% in around 30 minutes.
The interior is designed with a strong emphasis on passenger comfort. The second row features individual seats with electric adjustments, heating, and ventilation. Additional features include massage functions, a panoramic roof, and a multi-screen multimedia system. Because of these features, the model is often considered suitable not only for families but also for business travel and executive transportation.
The minivan also comes equipped with modern driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera system, which help simplify driving and maneuvering such a large vehicle in urban environments.
Depending on the market and trim level, the price of the Denza D9 starts at around 350,000 yuan (approximately $48,000) and can reach 460,000 yuan (about $63,000) for higher-end versions.
The growing popularity of models like the Denza D9 reflects a broader trend in the automotive industry: the expansion of large electric vehicles focused on comfort and practicality, offering an alternative to traditional large SUVs.
