BYD unveils the new Atto 3 Evo for Europe: RWD/AWD options, up to 510 km range, and 449 hp. Discover the upgraded EV crossover starting at €44,900 in Germany.

BYD has unveiled the renewed Atto 3 Evo crossover aimed specifically at the European market, where the brand is actively seeking to secure a strong position in the mass EV segment.
The updated version introduces a key upgrade: buyers can now choose between rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD), significantly increasing the model’s versatility and competitiveness compared to the previous generation.
The crossover features a modernized electric powertrain and a new 75 kWh battery, which noticeably improves driving range. In the RWD configuration, the electric motor delivers 230 kW (313 hp), while the AWD version is equipped with two motors producing a combined 330 kW (449 hp). According to the WLTP cycle, the driving range reaches up to 510 km for the RWD version and approximately 470 km for the AWD variant.

BYD has also upgraded the interior, introducing higher-quality materials, an updated multimedia system, and an expanded suite of driver-assistance technologies that fully comply with EU safety standards.
A crucial element of BYD’s strategy remains its aggressive pricing policy. The Atto 3 Evo is offered with rich standard equipment at prices lower than those of many European and Korean competitors – for example, pricing in Germany starts at €44,900. This approach increases pressure on local manufacturers, forcing them to reconsider pricing strategies and accelerate the development of new EV models.

The Atto 3 Evo plays a strategic role for BYD in Europe, serving as a key tool for increasing market share and building brand recognition. Looking ahead, the company is also considering localizing production in Europe to reduce logistics costs and mitigate potential tariff risks.
